About the University of Warsaw Digital Competence Center
We implement and support activities related to e-learning and digital humanities, provide digital services, and coordinate the University of Warsaw's participation in national and international networks engaged in the use of digital technologies.
Mission

We contribute to the development of the information society. We promote the use of new technologies in the university's teaching and administrative activities. We support currently priority multidisciplinary research areas, which include, among other things, the wide-scale use of information technology in the humanities.

Our mission is:

to respond to new teaching challenges facing the university,

to provide technological support for research, teaching, and infrastructure projects,
to promote open access to educational and scientific resources,
to develop modern research and teaching tools,
to provide expert services in the field of e-learning and digital humanities.
Activities

Our work focuses on the use of digital tools in the teaching and research activities of the University of Warsaw. We support university-wide and faculty-wide initiatives and collaborate with other research units, cultural institutions, and third-sector organizations, including internationally.

We accomplish our mission and activities by:

sharing expertise and providing access to digital tools and labs,
creating an expert base for digital projects, particularly in the humanities and modern teaching, especially e-learning,
conducting teaching and workshops, including those using digital methods (e-learning),
providing coordinators for university-wide initiatives within the scope of the UW Center for Research and Development,
creating, maintaining, expanding, and providing access to IT tools and platforms,
collaborating with other UW units, research, grant, teaching, and project teams, UW staff, and external institutions,
participating in international research networks, organizations, and consortia.
